So you like what you have read so far and want to get started? Let’s begin with identifying and joining up with an existing group. There may be a block group nearby or a full fledge neighborhood association. It will be best if you make a connection to an existing group, at least in the beginning. If the group does not represent your area, you can then pursue starting your own group.
When starting a group, begin the processes by talking with some of your neighbors you already know. Even if all you have done is waved at them in the past. You will be amazed at how open people are to talking to a neighbor who wants to make things better.
